Nonprofit New York is proudly partnering again with JDM Benefits and Nonprofit HR on the 2022 compensation survey. We are working in partnership to create this trusted resource for the New York City-based nonprofit community! This survey will result in the 2022 Nonprofit Compensation Report, which will offer a detailed breakdown of trends in compensation in the nonprofit sector.
New bills that are introduced into the New York Senate, Assembly, and City Council undoubtedly have the potential to affect nonprofit organizations. Nonprofits need to know about new bills that could affect their work and track the progress of these bills through the legislature.
Legislative memos are an important way for nonprofits to provide analysis and recommendations to policymakers and other stakeholders. In addition, these memos are an effective way to condense complicated legislation into a summary for those learning about it for the first time.
New legislation always has the potential to affect the nonprofit sector and its subsectors. Nonprofits are experts in their fields and testifying at hearings is an important method of offering that expertise to affect pending legislation. This template was designed to provide guidance on the basics around creating effective testimony.
