The New York Community Trust Nonprofit Excellence Awards Program, in its 10th year, announced the nonprofit organizations in New York City and Westchester that have been chosen as semifinalists for $60,000 in prizes and prestigious scholarships.

The 2016 New York Community Trust Nonprofit Excellence Awards are underway in partnership with The Trust and Philanthropy New York, sponsored by WNYC, and supported by The Clark Foundation and RSM US.

The Awards provide applicants with an in-depth review of their management practices in Eight Key Areas of Nonprofit Excellence that are nationally-recognized.

CRE Announces 2016 CRE Rising Fund Awardees

Department of Labor Publishes Final Overtime Rule Effective December 1, 2016

The United States Department of Labor (the DOL) has issued updates to the Overtime rule effective December 1st, 2016. The updates include increases to the salary threshold of salaried workers entitled to overtime from $455 per week to $913 per week. According to the DOL, potentially 4.2 million workers will either gain new protections or get a raise.
