The Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York (NPCC) conducted the 2017 Salary Survey earlier this year in order to collect information on nonprofit compensation structures. Salary information requested was for current base annual salaries (not including benefits, cash bonuses, etc.) for full-time employees. The survey listed positions with one-sentence descriptions in common nonprofit departments/areas:

  • Administrative
  • Advocacy
  • Communications/Marketing
  • Facilities
  • Financial Management
  • Fundraising
  • Human Resources
  • Leadership
  • Legal
  • Measurement and Evaluation
  • Programs
  • Technology

The collective results have been compiled and organized by sub-sector and by budget range in an easy-to-read report format. The NPCC Salary Survey Report is meant to be a tool to help inform and assist nonprofit organizations in New York City, Long Island, and Westchester assess their salary scales and make adjustments where necessary.

The report is available in FULL or by budget size.
  • The Full Report presents the data in the aggregate and broken down by budget range and by sub-sectors. It also includes a brief summary of the results on employee benefit coverage.
  • The Budget Reports present the data within each of the 7 budget categories (please note: the data presented in the budget reports are not broken down by sub-sector as in the Full Report).
  • The Executive Summary presents the data for each position in the aggregate (free download).
