Lauraliz Morales-Silva joined Nonprofit New York in January 2026 as Vice President, Programs & Capacity Building. A bilingual trainer, facilitator, and nonprofit leader, she has over a decade of experience advancing organizational effectiveness, workforce development, and equity-centered practice across the nonprofit sector. She previously served as Director of Programs at the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies (FPWA), where she led citywide capacity-building initiatives, grantmaking programs, and professional development efforts supporting nonprofit staff and leadership throughout New York.

Lauraliz began her career in direct service, providing culturally responsive and trauma-informed care to survivors of gender-based violence. She is committed to advancing a nonprofit sector rooted in equity, justice, and people-centered practice. Lauraliz holds a B.A. in Languages and Linguistics from the University of Puerto Rico and a M.S. in Publishing from Pace University.
