Joshua works regularly with at-risk organizations to address digital security challenges and regularly presents and teaches on topics such as nonprofit technology strategy, cybersecurity, and project and change management. Joshua is an ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and an ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He also frequently collaborates with a potato.

Aminah Abdul-Majeed’s Bio

Aminah is a seasoned nonprofit fundraising specialist with 16 years of fundraising leadership experience in the social justice and education sectors. Prior to joining the Wingo team, she was the Director of Development at JustLeadershipUSA, where she managed and grew a national portfolio of individual and institutional funders. Her career in nonprofit fundraising started in the education sector, where she led the fundraising departments for private, Catholic, and charter schools. She was a Net Impact Service Corps volunteer consultant and a Programs Committee Member where she helped NYC nonprofits develop partnership and community outreach strategies. She brings with her an experienced perspective, keeps nonprofit insights, and is tireless dedications to the short-and-long-range success of the nonprofit sector. Aminah earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Williams College and a Master of Business Administration from Yale School of Management.

Doug Wingo’s Bio

Leaving Harvard’s Divinity School, Doug turned his passion for social justice into a four-decade career in the secular ministry of fundraising. After working on the front lines of the AIDS epidemic, he founded Wingo NYC in 1996, a consulting firm focused on fundraising, communications, special events, and digital engagement. He believes fundraising is a critical form of advocacy, a tool for creating community and social and cultural change, and is a coach and mentor board and staff members, regularly leading trainings and courses on fundraising. Doug has served on many boards and was a member of the Selection Committee for the NYC Nonprofit Excellence Awards for several years. Today, he serves on the boards of Hudson Hall, art for all center in Hudson, NY, and Lifetime Arts, a national organization leading the movement for creative aging. The fundraising studio grew out of his early years as an art major at the College of William and Mary and a teenage proselytizer in the Bible Belt. Doug is living proof that change is possible.
