About Jericho Project
Jericho Project is a nationally acclaimed nonprofit ending homelessness at its roots by enabling homeless individuals and families to attain quality housing, employment, and mental and physical health services. The 36-year-old nonprofit serves over 2,500 individuals, including 700 veterans, annually. Jericho has been a key partner in New York City’s initiative to end veterans’ homelessness, and is leading bold, innovative strategies to do the same for families and young adults.
Our programs touch four cornerstones of a person’s life: housing, employment, wellness, and family stability. We create a culture of “moving on” through a foundation of housing and supportive services provided by expert program specialists and case managers.
We have over 550 units of supportive housing including 9 residences in the Bronx, Harlem, and Astoria, as well as scatter-site apartments throughout NYC.

About the Position
Jericho Project is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Manager, Human Resources. The Manager, Human Resources will take the lead on HR functions such as Employee Relations, Health & Safety, building JP’s Internship Program and providing support to the Finance department on Payroll processing.
Responsibilities:
Ø Responsible for administering and implementing various Human Resources policies and procedures for all company personnel, in collaboration with Director, HR.
Ø Provide support to the HR Associate on all end-to-end recruitment and retention systems.
Ø Manage employee relations and conduct investigations in conjunction with the HR Director and provide support and counseling to all staff.
Ø Collaborate with the Finance Department on the biweekly payroll process and troubleshooting issues. Communicate with finance department regarding changes to 403b, leaves, bonuses, salary changes, terminations, hires. Review timecards for employee and manager approvals.
Ø Assist with system’s troubleshooting issues across numerous company platforms. (TriNet, Ethic Points, Relias, etc…)
Ø Oversee Health & Safety procedures across the organization.
Ø Build and facilitate JP’s Internship program.
Ø Provide supervisory support to 2 direct reports.
Ø Work collaboratively with other departments as needed.
Ø Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director.
Requirements:
Ø Bachelor’s degree required.
Ø 3+ years of work experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
Ø Supervisory experience and skills a plus.
Ø Knowledge and proficiency of Human Resources’ functions.
Ø Strong interpersonal skills and excellent judgement.
Ø Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ø Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ø Strong attention to detail.
Ø Ability to work independently and under moderate supervision.
Ø A developed sense of urgency, the ability to multi-task and complete tasks accurately.
Ø Demonstrate strong ability to foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, collaboration and teamwork.
Ø Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
Ø A passion for Jericho’s mission.
Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience. Jericho Project offers a comprehensive benefits package.
