JOB OVERVIEW:

The GLAM4GOOD Foundation seeks a Director of Marketing and Communications (Independent Contractor) to develop and implement big picture strategies for marketing, communications, content design, and public relations activities, both external and internal. They will use their experience in strategic planning and promotion across a wide-range of platforms/channels to ensure all marketing and communications efforts are built out and in alignment with the organization’s mission, core values, and overarching goals. The Director of Marketing and Communications will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer to cultivate and advance plans of marketing and communications cross-departmentally and organization-wide. They are responsible for overseeing all aspects of department resourcing and staffing, digital content creation, and managing GLAM4GOOD’s website, social media platforms, and brand identity. 

  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand organization’s past and current programming to develop and enhance marketing and communications plans with corresponding budget that promotes mission and impact, while prioritizing opportunities for growth and engagement 

  • Research, develop, and pitch ideas for events and campaigns around cause-awareness and giving holidays

  • Oversee copy and content creation for digital marketing assets, including social media, website, pitch decks, reports, and recurring newsletters

  • Become intimately familiar with the GLAM4GOOD brand – understanding its core community, mission, and impact   

  • Work cross-departmentally to ensure brand identity is present and consistent across onsite gives, partnership campaigns, volunteer opportunities, speaking engagements, and fundraising events 

  • Attend GLAM4GOOD gives, events, and develop a rapport with team leads, Board of Directors, community providers, and brand partners 

  • Coordinate design, production, distribution, and correspondence of marketing, brand, and PR materials to ensure growth efforts are properly supported

  • Identify and manage and amplify client, philanthropic, and public facing content to enhance opportunities and promote GLAM4GOOD’s impact

  • Oversee process for developing content, mission decks, recurring newsletters, website, social media platforms, and presentations, both internal and external  

  • Coordinate design, production and distribution of branded materials  

  • Manage overall schedule and tracking of philanthropic submissions, cause-awareness / giving holidays calendar, and networking / speaking opportunities 

  • Oversee GLAM4GOOD website and social media platforms –  identifying trends, fielding outreach, keeping content fresh and information current, and managing community engagement

     

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in marketing/communications, preferably in a nonprofit organization 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with using SEO and digital marketing  

  • Social media management and execution via social management platforms

  • Familiarity with website programming and backend management 

  • Proven results in implementing marketing and communications strategic plans

  • Experienced in managing social media platforms and analytics technologies to engage a diverse audience

  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while managing deadlines

  • Graphic design skills are a plus, including Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote etc.

  • Photography and videography skills a plus 

  • Passionate and energized by supporting individuals impacted by clothing and self-care insecurity  

COMPENSATION AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • G4G will pay the contractor on a bi-weekly basis for approximately 32+ hours of work per week. Consultant will submit monthly invoices to G4G on the last day of each month. G4G will process invoices within 15 days of receipt. 

  • Evening and weekend hours required as necessary 

  • 4-day work week with opportunity for remote work

     

REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES:
Approved work-related expenses will be reimbursed. Consultant must submit detailed expense reports with original receipts to claim payment.
