JOB OVERVIEW:

The GLAM4GOOD Foundation seeks a Director of Fundraising (Independent Contractor) to work closely with senior management to develop fundraising strategies, formulate outreach procedures, and oversee all fundraising activities. They will use their background in the nonprofit space to ensure all fundraising and development efforts are in alignment with the organization’s mission, core values, overarching goals, and NPO regulatory guidelines. The Director of Fundraising is responsible for identifying new donor bases, engaging current revenue streams, managing the organization’s grant process, and implementing successful fundraising campaigns, both digital and in-person.   

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and implement strategy for donor acquisition and engagement, including building a satisfaction-based strategy to retain and increase giving for current donors   

    • Serve as the lead for research, development, and implementation of the Foundation’s fundraising strategies. This includes corporate giving, tribute giving, monthly giving, legacy giving, and event-related giving

    • Build out DIY / P2P campaign giving opportunities  

    • Create fundraising appeals, campaigns, and special events in support of short-term and long-term giving goals 

    • Develop tracking system to ensure up-to-date information for all special events, grant submissions, donor, and fundraising opportunities    

    • Lead weekly fundraising planning meetings to ensure fundraising progress 

    • Support internal teams in developing communication materials, reports, and project plans for funding sources, donors, and partners alike 

    • Create social media campaigns, using any and all vehicles, that will acquire new donors, engage existing donors, and increase giving (ie – digital and direct mail campaigns to the next level to raise visibility and engagement)

    • Coordinate with CEO and COO with the implementation of the corporate giving program that offers volunteer opportunities, in-kind donations, corporate foundation donations, and other sponsorship opportunities

    • Serve as an ambassador for G4G at external events, including presenting on the organization and making direct asks

    • Work with grant writer on proposals and reports

    • Work with Director of Marketing and Communications to identify and share compelling stories of impact that drive increased giving 

       

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in fundraising, preferably in a nonprofit organization

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related field

    • Knowledge of donor-advised funds, crowdrising, corporate giving programs, grant writing, and recurring gifts   

    • Excellent written, verbal, and relationship building skills 

    • Strong leadership and project management skills for motivating and helping to guide cross-departmental teams

    • Knowledge and experience implementing fundraising techniques on multiple donation platforms (eg – Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram, Direct Mail)

    • Experience in Board, committee, and volunteer management

    • Willingness and ability to manage tasks independently, supported by monthly meetings with the Chief Executive Officer

    • Strong research, interpersonal, and presentation skills

    • Critical thinker, analytical, and detail-oriented

    • Great public speaker and strategic thinker

    • Deep knowledge of fundraising management, public relations, and business development 

    • Knowledge of federal and state laws affecting charitable donations, special events planning, and management

    • Ability to interact with senior executives and community leaders

    • Knowledgeable on premiere donation platforms and fundraising software for non-profit organizations to increase efficiency and optimize multi-channel fundraising to advance the organization’s impact 

    • Passionate and energized by supporting individuals impacted by clothing and self-care insecurity 

       

COMPENSATION AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • G4G will pay the contractor on a bi-weekly basis for approximately 32+ hours of work per week. Consultant will submit monthly invoices to G4G on the last day of each month. G4G will process invoices within 15 days of receipt 

    • Some evening and weekend hours required 

    • 4-day work week with opportunity for remote work

       

REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES:
Approved work-related expenses will be reimbursed. Consultant must submit detailed expense reports with original receipts to claim payment.
