Spanish Speaking Dance/Youth Program Manager
Groove With Me, Inc. is a youth development organization using free dance classes and performance opportunities as a tool to instill in young women the leadership, pride, spirit of cooperation, creativity, joy, and discipline needed to confront adversity in their daily lives and throughout their future development. The program seeks to decrease teen pregnancy, truancy, crime, violence, prostitution, substance abuse, and gang-related activity by nurturing youth, building self-confidence, offering positive choices, and providing a safe place to go.
The Manager will interface with our clients both in person and online so they’ll need to maintain a courteous and professional demeanor both in speech and appearance. The job requires excellent oral and written communication skills, an ability to communicate in an accurate and professional manner, flexibility, and adaptability to changing tasks.
We are looking for an extremely organized person who is punctual, a self-starter, enjoys art, and is comfortable working with children. Groove With Me is an ever-growing and evolving organization. This job is part-time but there is definitely room for growth.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
○ 1+ years of office administration or management experience
○ Operations and bookkeeping experience are beneficial but not essential
○ Experience with database functionality
○ Attention to detail with excellent time management skills
○ Ability to work autonomously and in teams in a fast-paced environment
○ Highly organized and creative with a deep enthusiasm for the arts
○ Must be bilingual (Spanish)
Job Type: 20 hours per week
Pay: $20/hr

Schedule:
After school hours
Monday to Friday
4pm-8pm September until June
4 hours between 10-6 July & August
Occasional Saturdays
• Assist in running operations of the studio during programming
Checking students into the studio and into their respective classrooms.
Dismissing students after class to their parents who wait outside of the studio.
•Attendance Tracking
• Support the Program Director with the Recital
•Database organization
Ensuring the accuracy of students’ info and enrollment
Filling students’ data accurately
• Assist with in-kind donations
Writing thank you card: retrieving name and address
Organize and take inventory of new costumes
• Organize storage room
Keeping track of costumes, supplies, and other inventories in each storage room
• Handle the unexpected (e.g., an Instructor gets sick)
Communicate immediately with families if a class is canceled
Changing voicemail and sending out RainedOut
• Support the program director or program coordinator
With marketing/ promotional efforts.
• Troubleshooting facilities issues (leaks, outages, lockouts, etc.)
Report issues with Program Director
Calling the appropriate parties when issues arise
