The Heller Fundraising Group is looking for a Consulting Services Director to join our team. This will be our next key team member to help accelerate our impact on the nonprofit sector.

The Consulting Services Director is a full-time, employee position with excellent benefits. The Director will be working remotely with in-person meetings when required. This person will be the project leader on 2-3 client assignments and manage our team of 5+ part-time consulting partners to ensure client engagement success. The Consulting Services Director will report directly to the Company Founder, Peter Heller, and work collaboratively with the rest of the team.

Our clients are taking bold steps to build better futures for their communities. This is challenging for them; our team provides vital training and encouragement based on our years of success.

Each Heller Group project leader is an experienced fundraiser and consultant. Yet, even the best leaders need someone to work with on strategy and troubleshooting; the Consulting Services Director will provide this support.

The right individual will contribute to our company’s culture and success with their positive, “we can do this” approach!

What will you actually do?

Meet and communicate directly with our clients to engage their fundraising strategies
Meet with project leaders to support their client-based work
Participate in company meetings and culture

Other duties include:

participate in the marketing and sales of our expert services
oversee and develop client and consultant management systems
review consultant performance
participate in execution of client contracts
participate in setting financial goals for continued growth

Candidate Requirements

Experienced fundraising professional with a track record of success as a consultant in feasibility studies, capital campaigns, fundraising strategies, individual donor relationships, and leadership.
Must have managerial experience demonstrated through proven ability to lead and inspire others in building strong and productive nonprofit relationships.
Project management experience and style based on open, solution-oriented, and inclusive decision-making, that guides our clients to long-term success.
A desire to have a long-term impact on the company and society as a senior team member.
Possess a strong combination of strategic and creative brain power that does not shy away from the challenges, risks, and rewards of a small entrepreneurial business.
Enthusiastic about team collaboration and working remotely, with a willingness to meet in-person and travel regionally when necessary.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.), calendar and time management, and facility with current business management software and relational databases.

Compensation

Introductory salary range of $150,000 – $175,000 commensurate with related experience.

Location

The position will be primarily remote. It turns out that human interaction is good for you! Therefore, we are committed to in-person team meetings throughout the year and meeting in-person with clients when possible. Candidates must live in or have easy access to the NYC area.
