NYDIS is a 501(c)(3) faith-based federation of faith communities, human services providers, and charitable organizations that work in partnership to provide disaster readiness, response, and recovery services to New York City.

NYDIS is seeking a full-time Director of Compliance & Reporting for our Ida Flooding Disaster Case Management Program (DCMP). The position will be based at the NYDIS offices in Midtown Manhattan. The Director will report to the Director of Client Services and consult regularly with the Executive Director and CFO. The Director ensures overall compliance with State contract and is the point of contact for sub-contractors on compliance-related issues. The 18-24 month contract spans 10 affected counties within New York State and includes 6 sub-contracts with provider agencies that will deliver disaster case management services to approximately 2,300 Ida flooding impacted households.

Duties include:
• Manage all compliance matters internally and externally after the initial set up contingency agreements with all stakeholder and subcontractor agencies for hiring additional staff to support program implementation, database and file management, purchasing, and other related resource needs
• Creates and distributes compliance guidelines for sub-contractors
• Supervises Data Entry staff
• Liaise with NYDIS’ legal counsel as needed
• Manages and analyzes client and program data
• Oversees and reviews data entry and maintenance
• Creates client service and program reports and statistics in collaboration with senior staff
• Coordinate with the senior staff to reviews and approve sub-grantee work and progress reports
• Helps devise policies that can be implemented to help sub-contractors align with state or federal requirements
• Coordinates and manages procurement of additional resources needed by sub-contractors to support program implementation compliant with contract guidelines
• Reviews sub-grantee invoices in collaboration with the finance staff
• Creates status reports on monthly expense rate(s) and overall financials in collaboration with CEO & CFO
• During deactivation (45 days prior – 90 days post-program closure), participates in lessons learned exercises

Qualifications include:
• Exceptional judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Background and experience in federal/state grants and contracts management, including having or developing a working knowledge of OMB circulars governing disaster-related activities
• Must be aware of government acquisition regulations and contract management required
• Positive energy and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse staff
• Embraces and exemplifies the values of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
• Computer skills – proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, databases, and internet

• Any NYDIS staff who work in our office or directly with clients must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Education and/or experience:
• Master’s degree preferred or bachelor’s degree with relevant experience required
• 3+ years of data management & compliance experience
• Experience managing large, complex contracts and subcontracts
• Demonstrated experience in staff management and supervision

Immediate Availability. Salary range $70,000-$80,000, commensurate with experience, with excellent benefits.
