  • Manage foundation prospecting efforts; participate in the ongoing expansion of the donor base at all levels through prospect identification and screening and research.
  • Participate in developing the fundraising strategy for the overall annual corporate and foundation goal as well as specific K-12 programs and projects.
  • Track and report on portfolio performance metrics and prepare regular update reports, measuring progress toward goal against projections.
  • Work collaboratively with Youth and Community Development, Public Affairs and Finance colleagues to develop program descriptions, budgets and other materials as required for proposals and reports.
  • Represent the Y as needed at foundation meetings and CFR sector events and professional development activities.
  • Proactively follows current events, public policy and maintains an in-depth knowledge about subjects that are important for persuasively positioning the YMCA of Greater New York’s programs, services and projects, particularly in the K-12 education space.
