New York City Children’s Theater seeks a part-time Marketing Associate. This individual will be a crucial member of a passionate marketing department that creates and executes strategic, short and long-term marketing plans to communicate the mission and vision of NYCCT and our award-winning mainstage productions, public programming, fundraising and education programs.

The Marketing Associate reports directly to the Communications and Marketing Manager. He/She will provide support in the areas of marketing, public relations, audience development, sales, graphic/video design and front of house, including box office and house management.

The ideal candidate is a creative individual with a passion for theater and a love of children who is excited to join a small, but mighty, fast-paced marketing team! This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career in arts administration or marketing as on-the-job training and mentoring will be provided.

Qualifications and Traits:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre, Marketing or Related Field or equivalent professional experience

  • Superb customer service and problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment

  • Experience using PC based Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred but not required:

  • Experience working with children and families

  • Experience with Patron Manager/Salesforce

  • Experience with Google AdWords

  • Experience with Photoshop and/or iMovie

  • Bilingual

This is a part-time (approx. 16 hours/week), salaried position. Some night and weekend hours will be required.
